I have never been a huge fan of the Internet. I am at that perfect age where even though I am surrounded by computers every day at the workplace, school and home, I was never formally taught how to use them. I guess you could say I'm intimidated, or maybe prideful and not willing to admit my ignorance. Either way, I can think of plenty other things I would rather do during my day.
If I had to choose the perfect way to spend my time it would have to be (don't get mad at me now, fellas) shopping. While I am not your typical girl, I cannot help but be held captive by the lure of malls and clothing and jewelry just like every other individual blessed (cursed?!) with two X chromosomes.
You can imagine how distraught I was when I learned that one of my all time favorite shops, Let's Go of La Jolla, had taken their store On-Line. I now had the chance to indulge myself 24 hours a day, but to do it I would have to swallow my pride and learn how to navigate on the World Wide Web. Let me tell you though, I did, and it was worth it! Lets Go has always been a favorite of mine because it carries some of my favorite designers (such as Diesel and Puma) and doesn't break the bank. I never thought I could enjoy shopping at Let's Go anywhere but in the store, but I was surprised at how easy it actually was to shop on-line. I could either order by phone or use secured shopping and enter my order right there on my computer screen. Many of the designers I found in the store were on their website, including Replay Jeans, Mavi Jeans, Big Star and my beloved Diesel Jeans and Puma shoes. After my first official on-line shopping spree at Lets Go, I learned that how easy online shopping really is, and I can shop from the comfort of my bedroom.
Let me just take one quick minute to let you all know that the Internet can ever take the place of the real thing though, not in the least. One of the charms of Lets Go is it's atmosphere. If you're ever walking through La Jolla or making a stop for a cup of coffee, you should take a few minutes to look around, even if you're just window shopping.
But getting back to the information super-highway, I do strongly urge those of you out there who desire to cut the traffic, long lines and sore feet out of your shopping experience to look for your favorite stores on-line. The other plus with shopping on the Internet is that with a click of a button, you can compare your purchases with the work and opinions of today's top designers and critics to help you stay up-to-date on the latest styles. So, if you are in La Jolla or some where else in the world stop by Let Go at
